In 1953, we invented and patented our world famous director chairs with replaceable seat covers. In the mid-1970's, we were the first to use this same technology in replaceable sling furniture. 	Innovations & Awards
	In the 1950's we began producing aluminum furniture. In 1953, we invented and patented our world famous director chairs with replaceable seat covers. 	Frame Finishes & Colors
	All of our powder coated aluminum collections feature the most durable finish on the market. This finish resists scratching, blistering, chipping and peeling, and is five times thicker than liquid spray paint. Powder-coating is created by spraying dry polyester powder onto raw aluminum frames from guns that produce a negative charge, electro statically attracting the colored powder to the frames. A baking process permanently sets the finish on the frame. our black, green, ivory, sandstone and bronze finishes are offered in popular textures, while traditionally, our white remains a brilliant, glossy, pure white.
	Aluminum Extrusions
	At Telescope, we design and specify our own aluminum extrusions, precisely matching the applications characteristics of aesthetics, strength, stiffness, bendabillity and cost.
	Welded Parts
	For added strength and beauty, Telescope products are welded together using either the MIG (Metal Inert Gas) or TIG ( Tungsten Inert Gas) process, depending on the particular application. Both processes have their own distinct advantages.
	Swivel Rocker Mechanism
	Our swivel rocker mechanism is made from durable aluminum alloys that provide a smooth and comfortable motions. Our adjustable features allows customers to tailor the spring tension to perfectly match their maximum comfort level.
	Plastic End Caps & Spacers
	Our plastic end caps and spacers are molded in-house to match the color and shape of our frames. UV (Ultraviolet) stabilizers are added in the molding process to help protect these parts from the damaging effects of the sun.
	Wood Products
	Telescope's own skilled craftspeople produce wooden products in our nearly one-million square-foot plant. The fine maple, beech, yellow birch, and ash woods used in our products are carefully selected from our own private twenty-five-thousand-acre land preserve in upstate New York and Vermont.
	Tables
	Our wide variety of tables include large and small, rectangular, round, and oval styles. Wood slat tables are available in clear varnish, stain, or dipped paint finishes. Powder-coated aluminum tables feature extra-strength tempered glass of solid acrylic materials, and powder-coated aluminum tops. New for 2003 , we help protect deck or patio surfaces. Packaged for easy assemble and efficient storage, many or our tables are designed to pull apart easily into three pieces (no nuts, bolts, or screws are used) and others are easily assembled using a few screws. We have made many improvements to our Designer tables making them easier to assemble and substantially more rigid after assembly.
	Cushions
	Our comfortable, generously-sized outdoor cushions are made of vinyl, polyester, olefin and acrylic fabrics. The stuffing is made of 100% polyester fibers that are welded by heat and pressure to maintain their loft. Water drains right through these fibers: rain is never a problem. Our easy-maintenance cushions dry quickly, resist mildew, and keep their shape longer that other cushion products on the market. the various cushions styles either wrap over the back of the chair to give the felling of an upholstered headrest, easily attach with fabric tabs, or fit snugly into the furniture frame. Customers can mix and match some of our cushions furniture with sling and strap options made from the same frame design.
	Strap Styles
	The 100% virgin PVC straps are extruded at our factory, ensuring consistent color and durablity. We use only heavy-duty vinyl straps containing UV and mildew inhibitors. for reliable strength, resilience, and elasticity. Our traditional style straps are secured to the frame with pins to eliminate any concerns of strap pull-out. For a smooth, unpinned look, our newer strap design is created by heat-welding straps that securely slip into a covered aluminum extrusion. Both of these strap styles can be easily replaced for a change of color.
	Sling Styles
	Sling furniture is our signature product. We use extra-heavy construction in our slings to ensure that they will last. Our slings are available in heavy, high threads-count woven vinyl-coated polyester fabric, strong olefins, acrylics, or polester/acrylic blends. UV inhibitors and plasticizers have been added for shape and colorfastness. During manufacturing, the fabric is cut to size, heat sealed or sewn, fitted with a dowel, and inserted into the seat rail, where it is firmly bolted into place. Slings furniture is attractive, comfortable, easy to clean, and dries quickly after inclements weather. For a change of style, our slings fabrics are replaceable.
	Umbrellas
	We've spent years perfecting our distinctive Market and Drape umbrellas. Our innovative Easy Lever-Lift Market umbrella locks into place automatically when the umbrella is opened. we've designed a handy tilt function that easily locks the umbrella angle in the desired position. Available with separate bases, our umbrellas coordinate beautifully with all Telescope Collections. Freestanding or as a table umbrellas, there's a size and style just right for every customer. Powder-coated aluminum Market umbrella frames are available in colors to match our furniture collections. The Market umbrella is also available in ash wood. A variety of fabrics are available to coordinate umbrellas to seating arrangements. For easy cleaning, al Telescope Market umbrella covers are easily removable using heavy duty brass snaps.
