6" steel framed covers can be used for Patio Covers as well
as Carports. The steel covers are put to many other uses by our
customers. Some of these uses have been, sand box covers, pool
covers, carports, patio covers, oil storage area covers, walkway
covers, dock covers, pavilions, picnic area covers, animal shade

| Plans
for do-it-yourself cost $0.35 per square foot. People
who want to buy their materials locally can order drawings on
how to build steel covers. Keep in mind that your city my require
engineer sealed plans, If they do have that requirement you will
need to have engineering done locally. Most engineers will take
our plans and re-draw them and seal the plans. Typically this
cost from $350 to $750 to have done. |

20' x 20' Double Car Carport
Double steel cover with roof metal overhanging 1 1/2" for
addition of a gutter. The color is the same as the house
trim color. 3" white steel post set in redi-mix concrete. Galvanized
frame and a white steel roof.

Steel Carport
This cover has a 4" galvanized steel frame and is 12'
x 20' with a 8' x 8' attached walk way cover to the door behind
the tree.

Double Carport Cover With Walk Cover
Galvanized 6" steel frame at 4' on center this 20' x 20'
carport has a 7' x 16' angled walk cover attached.
Note: The cover follows the walkway. |

This view of the above carport cover shows how well the cover
blends in with the home. All well done covers should blend in
and be as unnoticeable as possible. 3" x 3" steel post
are in the ground except at the walk way were brackets were used.

Steel Two Car Carport
The beige trim matches the homes trim color. Note that the roof
metal edge is covered over, this inhibits drainage and works
only were leaves are not a major problem.
The post are set so as to end up where the cars tires will be and thus
out of the way of opening car doors. |

Carport & Patio
This customer wanted a front patio and a double carport. We
built a steel 20' x 20 carport and a 12' x 16' attached patio
cover.

Off-Set
Double Cover
This two car cover shows two post on top of the drive way
and two post in the ground. the roof is off set 6' to the left
beyond the house wall. The cars doors can be opened without
hitting a post. Rain drains to the street. The size is 20'
x 20'. |

Two-Car
Carport
The post on this cover are set back 5' from the end of
the cover to accommodate the curving drive way the customer has
added a light and the top of the flashing is visible. The 3/4" high
ribs of the metal roofing can be seen just above the front trim. |
| The photos above
show a 20' x 20' Deluxe Steel Carport with an attached 6' x 16'
shed. The storage area is divided in half with each having a 4'
x 6' 6" shop built door. A new slab was poured for the shed.
The entire structure except for the door stops is steel. Storage
area framing was steel studs. |
