to the casual life with Poly-Wood, Inc…it is a world of simplicity, durability and quality. These three words hold their true meaning when you own Poly-Wood furniture. Once destined for landfills, milk jugs are transformed into recycled plastic lumber used to create our casual outdoor furniture. Regardless of whether you live in the mountains, on the beach, surrounded by the plains, in rain or shine, the unique nature of our furniture allows it to be left outside year round as it has proven to be impervious to the effects of the weather. It is available in six colors: black, mahogany, hunter green, sand, teak and white and made in Syracuse, Indiana, USA. Poly-Wood is premium outdoor furniture.
Poly-Wood Inc. was founded in Indiana as a "garage start-up" in 1990 by partners Mark Phillabaum and Doug Rassi. In 1993 the Trade Wind Rocker, their first trade show entry, won the Lillian B. Winchester "Best of Show" award at the international Casual Furniture Market. Since then, Polywood has expanded their lines to over eighty designs. This growth led to the "Merchandising Excellence" award as well as production of chair number one million. Poly wood is positively affecting the environment by using recycled plastic once destined for landfills. The classic and cutting edge designs require minimal maintenance; and the solid, heavy-duty, quality construction in all weather conditions allow us to say: IT'S POLY-WOOD. SIT BACK, RELAX & FORGET ABOUT IT.
Poly-Wood Inc. warranties to the original purchaser, that for a period of twenty(20) years for residential use and one (1)year for commercial use, from the date of purchase against any defects in the manufacturing and workmanship of the furniture components. “Defects” is defined as imperfections that impair the original function of the product. This warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear effects on the furniture, which is received by regular use of the furniture. Neither does it cover damage due to unauthorized repairs or alterations, negligence, misuse or abuse, improper assembly and acts of God. This warranty does not apply to the hardware used to assemble the furniture.
Eco-Friendly and long lasting!
Poly Lumber is derived from post-consumer polyethylene bottle wastes such as milk containers. This material is cleaned in a decontamination process to a purity level of over 99% HDPE (high density polyethylene). It is then compounded into a rigid board stock material, the resulting finished product containing over 90% recycled post-consumer waste by weight. Because Poly Lumber is a recycled product, there can be slight variations in color.
Easy To Clean And Maintain
Our Poly-Wood Outdoor Furniture is made of HDPE plastic resin that has been purified and UV protected. It is generally cared for and cleaned with soap and warm water. For certain stains and additional cleaning power, a 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water solution can be used on the product without affecting the color. Also, a popular method of cleaning is a high pressure power wash. (Not to exceed 1,500 psi, which is the equivalent of a car wash.) The surface characteristics of Poly-Wood Outdoor Furniture may require the use of a soft bristle brush to get into the creases.
The hardware used in the assembly and construction of our Poly-Wood Outdoor Furniture is an 18-8 commercial grade stainless steel that has an additional “Xylan" protective and cosmetic coating. Although the quality of the hardware has a high level of corrosive resistance, the hardware can show some sign of corrosion in salt air environments.
A practical solution to these signs of corrosion would be to wash Poly-Wood Outdoor Furniture with soap and water. Use a soft bristle brush to scrub the corroding areas of the hardware. Also, use appliance touch up paint in the appropriate color to protect the hardware. Appliance touch up paint can be purchased at local hardware stores.
