How Much Does It Cost To Fill My Above Ground Pool?
To answer this question you need to know the number of gallons of water your pool holds, and the amount charged by your utility company per hundred gallons of water. You will find the cost per hundred on your water bill. The following math formula will give you the number of gallons of water in your pool.
The Math Formula Is:
Pool Length, X Width, X
Average Depth, X Multiplier
= Gallons of water in pool
Then
Gallons, divided by 100, times
cost per hundred gallons
= Cost to fill pool
To Get The Number Of
Gallons Of Water Your Pool Holds:
Length, X Width, X Average Depth, X The Following Multiplier:
Rectangle, square pools: Use multiplier = 7.5
Round or Oval pool: Use multiplier = 5.9
Example: 18' round pool 54” walls (pool are filled to with in 6” of the top of the pool)
18' x 18' x 4' x 5.9 = 7,646 Gallons in pool divided by 100 = 76.46 X $0.19 (cost per hundred gallons .19530) = $14.93
Water is cheap: In my town filling a 24' round 52” wall pool cost $24.00. If you get chemical soup and you can't figure out what to do, drain the pool and start over. It's cheaper then buying chemicals.
