Aluminum is used extensively in the manufacture of patio furniture, especially cast aluminum furniture. Prices are declining at the wholesale level from 5% to 18% depending on the amount of aluminum used to make a particular item. Most stores will pass this along to the consumer.

Patio Covers and Carports Kits made from aluminum have declined (at wholesale) about 15% on average this year. Most manufacturers do not make price reductions until they have depleted their on hand inventory, so it takes a while to work the price reductions through the distribution system. Most of the price reductions will show up in the stores by spring 2010.
